I know, I know – ANOTHER website about keeping chickens 🙂

Why do people love their chickens so much they feel compelled to write about them and will show photos to anyone who shows the slightest interest? (I have more photos of my chickens on my phone than I do my family).

It’s probably because anyone who starts keeping chickens is surprised at how much they enjoy it. Chickens have many attractive qualities (and a few that are a little less than endearing), the little groups within groups, the gossiping under the bush by the kitchen window, the dashing across the garden towards you when a bag of treats gets shaken.

If you already have your own flock I’m sure you will agree chickens are some of the best pets you can have.
